Description

This is one of the many contest images I have been working on lately, and I am probably entered into like 5 or 6 contests...
(WHY everyone does contests when it's the last month if school I wish I knew XD)
But yes, aside from all the papers I have to write and presentations I have to present, I have decided to keep on keeping on with all this.
This is the Twisted Fairytales contest by :iconstitchy-face: [link]
And we are supposed to take a Fiary tale and switch it up some how.

I decided to take the well know story by Aesop of the Fox and the Crow...making it the Crow and the Fox.
Here's the original story:[link]
And here is my version:

One breezy summer morning, Crow was flying over the tree tops in search of food. It was then that she
spotted Fox, up in a tree. Crow knew that red foxes can’t climb trees.
Ever so curious, Crow swooped down to investigate.

“Top of the morning to you, sir Fox!” Crow cawed out to him, noticing the cheese in his mouth.
“It may be none of my business, but may I ask you what you are doing up there, and how you are going to get down?
Fox looked frightened, his bright green eyes open wide.
Crow could tell he was too terrified to move. However, if she knew anything, Crow knew Fox wouldn’t
want help, and so devised a plan to get the cheese, as she was getting very hungry.

“Sir Fox, can you come down safely? If not, I shall fly off at once to send for help.”
Crow spread her wings and made to fly off, but Fox wouldn’t have any one know he was in need of help.

“No! I do not need help!” Snapped Fox. With that, his precious cheese fell from his chops, tumbling down the tree. Quickly Crow lept at the chance, snatched the cheese up with her beak and disappeared into
the green sunny forest, leaving Fox stuck in the tree just the same as before.

Only now, he had no breakfast.

I guess the moral of this story is to not be afraid to ask for help when you need it! =P

Also, I used a wonderful old paper stock image for the background, because I wanted to make it seem as though it were a lifelike drawing straight out of a sketch book. The texture is here:[link]

Hope you like my work! Now it's time for me to get back to work. TTFN everyone!
